“Ewan is 11 spray painted stencils on plywood, I have been using this time to push the medium of stencil art and get as much detail as possible in my portraits. Self teaching myself new graphic design skills has been a challenge but I have a lot of time to experiment for hours on end. I also tried using thicker paper for this stencil so I could retain the stencils, which I normally never do as I use normal paper. Using thicker paper always worried me that I would lose the detail. Isolation gave me more time to think about where I want to head with my stenciling, but at times, struggled with motivation to do anything because it was dark and I felt miserable.

I find it hard not working without deadlines so I used the time in isolation to impose my own deadlines in the hope of having a whole series of work for 2021. I do miss being able to go outside and paint or just exploring the streets.” - ARGH
